The attached has been distributed from a Veteran in NSW.

The email is self explanatory. 

Can you please advise if veterans’ in receipt of the Special Rate are being targeted by this so called RADM Robyn Smith [not sure of the surname but pretty close] who is only a qualified GP RAN Doctor can make sweeping statements that there is no such thing as PTSD. 

Where has this women been hiding?   It is obvious she is wanting more promotion to be the first female VADM or C of N or another gong at the expense of the Veteran community. 

May I pass on my concerns:

·        DVA have lost a huge lot of credibility with the Writeways scandal.

·        Now this female RADM who has never seen any action in her life except fighting to get into a checkout line in Woollies has come up with a lame duck idea that PTSD doesn’t occur in the Veteran Community.  This is beyond any reasonable persons comprehension.   The Psychiatrist that I attend Monthly and sometimes weekly has been dealing with PTSD in Veterans for over 13 years.  So is a RAN GP telling a Specialist that PTSD does not occur?  If this is the case may I suggest that the RADM may get herself de-registed from the AMA. 

Minister Ronaldson .... If there is truth in what has been reported of the happenings in Victoria in regards to Veterans on the Special Rate of DP being investigated after filling out an questionnaire, well, you need to advise all ESO’s of this survey and be very open about it.   At the moment you are trying to trick the Veteran community by working behind smoking mirrors.   Minister it is up to you to tell the truth. 

Minister where is the $3300 catch up that the Special Rate recipients are behind that of the old aged pensioners? 

I would like and honest reply to this email, please? 

To all veterans, can you give this email the widest dissemination please because the consequences can be huge.   I would also advise ALL veterans who receive a questionnaire to throw it in the bin unless DVA can prove within the VEA, SRCA and MRCA that they can survey veterans as a means to stop their Special Rate of DP.
